“ When a bee hovers over a garden of varied flowers, what it beholds is not the difference between the flowers but the honey within them. Similarly I see the same Supreme Self in each and every one.”

                                                 ~ Amma

Amma will be in North And South America during May 2007 to July 2007.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to visit Amma, receive darshan, and report back to us.

 AMMA's  M e s s a g e
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amma has time and again emphasized that the duty of every human being is to realize his true Self, or in other words,' know who we really are.' She does not favor any particular religion. When asked to which religion she belongs, she says, “My religion is love and service.”
“ Love is the foundation of a happy life. Knowingly or unknowingly we are forgetting this truth” she says. Amma on several occasions has said that it is important not only to feel love but also to express it. “ After all, love is our true nature. When we do not express love in our words and actions it is like honey hidden in a rock. “ she says, “ It is of no use to anyone. This mutual sharing and expressing of love should begin at home between married couples and between parents and children. Only then will there be peace and harmony at home and in the society.”
Once when someone asked Amma as to whom she would term as a true disciple, Amma said that, “One whose legs rush to offer help, whose lips utter comforting words of love and whose eyes shed tears of compassion on hearing the cry of the distressed, such a person I would call a true disciple."
I found a new laugh ....
Posted on Jun 19th, 2007 by Teenie~Dakini : ~.~  I have my moments  ~.~ Teenie~Dakini
A giggly light fluttering sing-song laugh.  Oh yes, my 4 year old daughter has a new sound, who knew?  I found it yesterday, tickling, kissing, wiggling, and telling her that I adore her!  I'm not kidding... she absolutely has a new laugh, a new expression of joy! This one seemed to be so light, and pure, and present.... yet full at the same time.  There wasn't any effort, no aim and certainly no exaggeration (as girls will sometime do ;-)
It's difficult to describe how precious and delightful it was to find it.... I was amazed, who knew she had a different one hiding in there waiting to be bubble forth.  I certainly didn't wake up expecting to find another treasure in her giggle box.  Wow!  How lucky am I?
Teenie~Dakini : Heart Fully
And I must say that I *love* it when I am this awake or present to notice the bountiful wonders all around me.... such gifts and riches amongst us all (but you knew that already ;-)
X marks the spot, within my daughter's heart!
In joy,
Stacy
What treasure have you found today? recently? ..... Mmmm, do tell!
Share a piece of art that's moved you recently.
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 18, 2007:
W a v e s
             W a v e s
I was moved recently with experiential or living art:  the Sand Castle Festival in Galveston a few weekends ago.  Turns out the attendance was upwards of 20,000 peeps.
I was so amazed and tickled at the variety (of experience and expression)... both in the artwork of the sand creations, but also in the people.  Everyone was enjoying the sun, the art, their loved ones, the moments.  I was so humored by everyones body art, their style, their movements, their choices.  I was overwhelmed with appreciation for each person, wondering who they might be, enjoying their joy, welcoming their smiles, and embracing their personal sangha of friends/ family (and pets).
It was just one of those poignant experiences where it all made sense, it was more than ok ... we all have a purpose and an expression, together, as we travel along life's path ... all of us wanting to enjoy, engage and invite happiness into the mix.
(oh yea, the music and margarita didn't hurt either ;-)
IN joy,
~ Stacy
Post Sentiment.....
And so it was this day,
Beauty Truth Goodness
all present
in its many forms
for the benefit of all
