I fell in Love with You

I fell in love with you
at first it was your strength
your confidence your direction
your Jack Nicholson
humor and disposition
I fell in love with your mind
what intrigued you, inspired you
I fell in love with your passion
your body your grace your movement
I fell in love with your risk
your attentiveness
your sociability
I fell in love with the little boy
the one I saw in the photos
when I looked deeply in your eyes
I fell in love with the hurt
and the best that you could do at the time
I fell in love with the understanding
and in the wanting
to hold your hand, your heart
I fell in love with the healing
the partnership, the dance
I fell in love with what could be
the dreams the vision the allure
the taste of what we could be
when it showed up in the moment
I fell in love with the God
that I saw in you, felt through you
the awe, the calm
the striking click of how we fit
I fell in love with you
past present and future
So no surprise
I fell hard when it
Fell apart

Very beautiful…thank you for sharing.
Did you write this Stacy? Great embodiment in the words. Evocative. Cathartic. I felt it deeply and am left here with that sense of the aching raw hollowness to fill. A very familiar place as also self radiant fullness. The vulnerability of being open-hearted and ready to risk the small self for reaching GOD thru and with an other. A powerful magical path while together. A powerful teacher either way. Spiraling up we go, fuller and brighter from within each time around. Thanks.
Thanks Michael! On the one hand I feel alive to share… on the other hand, there's exposure ;-) Dancing with my edge ~Stacy
Don, I did write it…. Just today, well its been rumbling around for months (as most of my writings do) and this one got to bloom in the silence of this day (as most don't ;-(
I am chuckling though… because as I wrote it I kept mis-typing “fell” as “feel”…. and even a few slipped into the final draft (and I just corrected them). In my bodymind I totally meant fell… but a few sneeked in as “I feel in love with the healing” and “I feel in love with the God” :-)
As always, thanks for your friendship!

Hi Stacy .. I really resonate with this too.. and i LOVE the 'feel' version of 'fell'. Have you got a copy of all the 'feel's left in? It would be a neat version too.
Feeling in love with healing, feeling in love with God :)
