QUIRKY FACTS ABOUT TEENIE~DAKINI:
Ready, Set, Go....
~ I like to eat Green Giant long-speared asparagus directly out of the can, room temperature. (Thanks Mom!)
~ For as long as I can remember, I could lucid dream and move myself around/ change scenarios and remember them when I woke up.
~ I'm still a VIRGIN.......... of skydiving at least ;-) Just don't think its ever gonna happen.
~ I used to be petrified of big texas cockroaches but have slooooowly moved through it. I now "dislike" them and, its the only bug that I WILL kill if it gets into my house! (with a prayer... i'm a compassionate killer ;-)
~ During a lunch break I witnessed a car crash and tried to save a man from his burning car (actually led a team to try and save him).... to no avail. Turns out he had stolen a full tank of gas from a nearby gas station and crashed his car into my neighbors tree!
~ I showed up at the tattoo parlor at 3:30p (sober and sane) about 17 yrs ago (just before tats were "hip") ... wanting my colored ink prominently on my shoulder. He suggested the fleshy concealed parts: breast, bikini or butt. I said "no, not for my Cross Lotus tattoo, thanks"... and the tattoo artist/owner sent me away, thinking I'd regret it. I was there the next day, same time, same request... and Voila! I'm inked with NO regrets, EVER.
~ I hold my pen and fork with 3 fingers instead of 2.

Your cockroach note reminded me of the first time I ever saw a cockroach in Brazil (about a decade ago)… I went into the bathroom, turned on the light, and 5 cockroaches big enough to carry off a baby went skittering in all directions.
My husband (then boyfriend) like the experienced Brazilian bug killer that he is, yanked off his flip flops, tossed one to me, yelled “I'll get the ones here in the living room…. you go after the two that went into the kitchen:-)

My fear/ disgust for the big bugs arose from some unexpected, sticky experiences as a tot. Basically after a few crawling on my clothes or falling on me (and not getting off)… it was enough to terrorize the little girl.
I soon honed my hearing to detect them moving about…. and was quick to wake my twin brother down the hall, begging him to wake up and kill for me. He always came to my rescue, even in the wee hours…. gotta love him for that!
Btw, my daughter just told me yesterday that it is a fact that roaches can live WEEKS without their head! What exactly they do during those weeks, I have no idea… and no wonder they're the super bug that will exist throughout all time ;-)
